Restaurant Review:
Sufra

Hyatt Regency
Creek Heights
Dubai, UAE

The Holy Month of Ramadan is a time of togetherness, warmth and cozy Iftar gatherings! A month within which families and friends get much more time to spend with each other and forge closer bonds over food! Sufra at the Hyatt Regency Creek Heights offers one such Iftar that ticks all the boxes in terms of selection of food, drink, dessert and ambiance. Break your fast in the usual way with dates, nuts and dried apricots and then proceed to the sweeping counters filled with delicious, colorful salads and the usual suspects like Hummus, Muhammara, Baba Ganoush, Labneh and more.

Our absolute favorites from the widespread selection were the live counters! Kebabs, Shawarma, Manousheh (with the Chef regaling us with stunts that involved tossing the slender dough high up in the air), Falafels and more. A huge pot of Ouzi simmered in one corner and the servers very generously went from table to table doling out succulent portions of the delectable dish. There were other ready dishes to choose from too; essentially you are spoilt for choice!

The other counter that pulled us towards it like magnets had to be the one that housed multihued desserts. Middle Eastern desserts like the Baklava, Umm Ali and Bassboussa among others found their neighbors in more international ones like cheesecakes, mousses and tiramisu goblets and we just couldn’t get enough of this section. We loved the huge platter of freshly made Kunafa that the server would embellish right in front of you. What is Iftar without some warm and crispy Kunafa right?

Overall, we give the Iftar at Sufra a huge YAY!
