Restaurant Review:
Memory Lane

Marina Wharf
Dubai Marina

Nestled on the Promenade Level of Marina Wharf 1, Memory Lane is a cozy, contemporary little restaurant that stands true to its name! The family run business brings together the passion, dedication of its patriarch towards food and the memories he has associated with it. At our session, we got the opportunity a set menu filled with a variety of food and drink from their extensive menu. Here’s everything we tried:

• Wonton Soup

  • A Day at the Beach (Cranberry, Peach Blended with lemon juice, orane)
  • Lavender (Lavender & Lemon mojito, topped with soda)
  • Fizzy Passion (Passionfruit mojito with pineapple, crushed oranges, topped with ginger ale)

The drinks were refreshing but a special mention goes out to the Lavender which wasn’t just tasty but looked great too; the purple, yes PURPLE drink got excited squeals from all of us.
Indian Starters

  • Veg Galauti Kebab
  • Stuffed Mushroom
  • Paneer Tikka
  • Mutton Seekh Kebab
  • Chicken Herbs
Chinese Starters

  • Chicken Satay
  • Prawns Thai Chilli
  • Potato Satay
  • Baby corn Thai Chilli

Our favorites from this lot; Veg Galauti Kebabs, Stuffed Mushrooms, Paneer Tikka and the Potato Satay! We enjoyed the chicken satay to but the potato one trumped them all in our opinion.

Main Course

  • Malaysian Curry
  • Chicken Schezwan
  • Tofu Plum Chilli Sauce
  • Burned Ginger Rice
  • Steamed Rice
  • Teppanyaki Noodles

There were some nice, distinct flavors in the main courses which we managed to eat despite filling up on the starters! We really enjoyed the Teppanyaki noodles that complemented the gravy dishes on the table.

  • Pineapple Showboat

How glad we were that we stayed for this, because it was literally the crème de la crème of the entire meal! Assorted fruits, honey chips and cream united in this delicious dessert that was placed in half a pineapple shell! This was definitely the highlight of the meal and a must try!

We had a pleasant experience at Memory Lane and found the commitment of the family behind the restaurant endearing. Although the wait between courses was slightly long, the service and enthusiasm made up for it.
